What are Single Implants?
Single implants are dental implants that replace a missing tooth and root. In the past, one missing tooth might require a full bridge in which the neighboring teeth are reshaped to act as anchors for the bridge, which will then hold a crown that replaced the tooth. Unfortunately, the bridge only replaces the missing tooth without replacing the tooth root, which can lead to gum and jawbone deterioration.
On the other hand, a single implant consists of a titanium post that will be placed in the jawbone to act as the tooth root. As the bone heals around the implant, it becomes stronger by stimulating bone growth and the body begins to treat it like a normal tooth root. A crown is then placed on the new implant that looks and feels like a natural tooth.

Benefits of Single Implants

Candidates for the Single Implant

If your jawbone is deteriorated because a tooth has been missing for a while, we may still be able to help. Bone grafting is a technique that helps restore bone and has the ability to fuse with the existing bone, making it strong enough to support a single implant. Our skilled team of dentists will work to restore your oral health so you can enjoy the benefits of a dental implant.
