Dr Fong Nien Yong is the Founder and CEO of Dental House Group, one of Victoria’s leading privately owned dental organisations. Over the past two decades, he has built and helped establish more than ten dental practices and healthcare facilities, ranging from general and cosmetic dental practices to advanced implant centres and purpose-built general anaesthetic facilities.

As a clinician, Dr Fong has placed thousands of dental implants and helped thousands of patients restore their smiles, confidence, function, and quality of life through advanced full-arch implant rehabilitation.

His pursuit of excellence has taken him across multiple countries, where he has trained alongside and learned from world-class dentists, implant surgeons, educators, and healthcare innovators. He has continually brought this international knowledge, advanced technology, and world-class clinical experience back to Australia—adapting it to improve patient care, clinical workflows, and the development of his wider dental team.

Dr Fong’s contributions to implant dentistry have also received recognition both locally and internationally. He has attained the distinguished level of Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, reflecting his experience, education, and commitment to implant dentistry. His organisation has also been recognised as a Straumann Pro Arch Centre of Excellence, acknowledging its commitment to advanced full-arch treatment, clinical standards, technology, and patient care.

While his clinical achievements are significant, Dr Fong believes his greatest legacy lies in the people and businesses he has helped build.

Throughout his career, he has mentored more than 50 dentists. Many have gone on to become respected clinicians, successful practice owners, and leaders within the profession—including several well-known full-arch implant dentists. His mentorship extends beyond clinical dentistry, helping dentists understand leadership, business ownership, team development, practice growth, and the responsibility that comes with caring for a community.

Dr Fong has helped multiple clinicians achieve their dream of establishing and owning a dental practice, both within Dental House Group and independently outside the organisation. He does not measure mentorship by how long someone remains within his group, but by how confidently they can grow, lead, and create something meaningful of their own.

His impact also extends across the wider dental team. Team members who have learned and developed within his organisations have gone on to become managers, leaders, entrepreneurs, and business owners themselves. Some have taken the experience, confidence, and standards developed within Dental House Group and used them to create entirely new businesses and career pathways.

An entrepreneur at heart, Dr Fong has also supported the establishment and growth of businesses beyond traditional dental practice. Locally, he has contributed to the development of healthcare construction and medical fit-out businesses, general anaesthetic start-ups, and other ventures supporting the dental and medical industries.

His strength lies not only in identifying opportunities, but in bringing together the right people, experience, systems, and vision to turn an idea into a sustainable business.
