People Asked:

How much does All-On-4 cost in Australia?

All-On-4 pricing in Australia varies significantly based on the number of arches treated, the materials used, the complexity of your case, and the experience of the implant dentist. Download our price guide for indicative pricing, exact costs are confirmed after a detailed clinical assessment.

All-On-4 is not an impulse purchase, and the cost question is a fair one to ask early. Here’s what we can tell you honestly.
The investment for All-On-4 treatment varies between practices and between patients, sometimes considerably. Understanding what drives that variation helps you ask the right questions and make a better-informed decision. It also helps you spot when a quote looks unusually low, which is worth paying attention to.
At Bacchus Marsh Dental House, we don’t list full prices on our website. Not to be evasive, but because quoting without a clinical assessment isn’t actually helpful to you. Two patients both wanting All-On-4 can have very different treatment requirements. Download our price guide from the website for indicative pricing, and we’ll confirm exact figures after your consultation.

What Drives the Cost of All-On-4

A few key factors determine what All-On-4 will cost for any individual patient:
Number of arches. All-On-4 can be done on one arch (upper or lower) or both. Treatment for both arches is approximately double the investment of a single arch.
Implant brand and materials. Premium implant systems from established manufacturers like Straumann carry different costs to cheaper alternatives. The materials used in the prosthesis (the teeth themselves) also vary, from acrylic provisional prostheses to zirconia final restorations, which are more durable and aesthetically refined.
Preparatory work. Some patients require tooth extractions, bone grafting, or gum treatment before implants can be placed. This affects the overall investment.
Complexity of the case. Bone density, jaw anatomy, and general health all influence how straightforward or complex the surgical component is. More complex cases take more time and skill.
The experience of the treating dentist. A dentist who has placed over 500 full-arch cases carries different costs to someone who has placed a handful. As with most things in medicine, experience and volume matter.

The Cost of Getting It Wrong

This is worth saying directly. All-On-4 that is poorly planned or executed can require significant remedial work. Implant failure, prosthesis complications, and bite issues are all possibilities when the procedure isn’t carried out with appropriate skill and technology.
The cost of remediation, including addressing failed implants, often exceeds the original treatment cost. This is one reason experienced implant dentists with verifiable track records tend to charge more than generalist practices offering the same procedure at a significantly lower price point.
At Bacchus Marsh Dental House, Dr Fong has placed over 3,000 implants, including more than 500 full-arch cases. He is one of only two practitioners in Australia and New Zealand to hold the Straumann Group NeoArch Centre of Excellence award. The investment reflects that level of experience.

Health Funds and Payment Options

All-On-4 is generally not covered by private health insurance under most standard policies. Some extras cover may apply to individual components of treatment, such as extractions or the prosthetic component, but this varies significantly between funds and policies.
We recommend contacting your health fund directly before your consultation to understand what, if any, rebate applies to your specific policy.
Flexible payment options are available to help make treatment accessible. This is something we discuss openly during your consultation, there’s no awkward conversation to have about finances. We’d rather you have full information.

What Your Consultation Includes

Before any cost discussion, you’ll need a proper assessment. At Bacchus Marsh Dental House, an All-On-4 consultation with Dr Fong includes:
  • Review of your dental and medical history
  • 3D cone beam CT imaging to assess bone quality and anatomy
  • Clinical examination
  • A clear explanation of your treatment options
  • A written treatment plan with itemised costs specific to your case
This isn’t a sales process. It’s a clinical assessment, and the outcome might be that All-On-4 isn’t the right option for you at this time. If so, we’ll tell you that, and explain what alternatives may be appropriate. You can learn more on our dental implant services page.
The honest answer on All-On-4 cost is this: it’s a significant investment that varies by patient, and the right number for you can only come from a thorough assessment. Download our price guide for indicative figures, then book a consultation to understand exactly what’s involved for your situation.
At Bacchus Marsh Dental House, we’re committed to giving you straight answers, before you commit to anything.
